A George III needlework sampler, with banded numerals and alphabet, with animals crowns , trees and birds, worked by Ann Palmer aged 11 and dated 179?, 24 x 17cm , together with two other petite-point needlework panels.
All dimensions given are for the image not including the frame or mount. oval needlework panel, 19 x 14cm, the small rectangular panel 7 x 13cm.
Larger sampler is in fair order. The background linen is lightly stained. I think the sampler has been reduced as there is no floral border. There are no holes or tears. there are no signs of any insect infestation. the other two panels are in good but faded order.
